However, although it is an easily available substance, it is not recommended by experts. Today, paraffin is not preferred in candle making because it is not very suitable for health. Instead, you can consider the other two options, soy or beeswax. Soy wax allows you to create more durable and long-lasting candles than paraffin. Beeswax is the healthiest and offers 2 times longer use. After choosing the raw material, we can move on to other materials.

Let's list the materials we mentioned before:

  • Soy or beeswax
  • Essential oil or food coloring
  • Jar, glass or ceramic bowl
  • Candle wick

How is it done?

1. First of all, we need to melt the soy or beeswax, which is our main ingredient. You can use a small bowl or double boiler melting technique for this. You should melt the raw material of the wax by stirring it slowly over low heat. It is necessary to wait patiently for this part. J After melting, which takes about 15 minutes, you should let the mixture stand at room temperature for a while. While the wax raw material is kept at room temperature after melting, you can add one of the essential oils you have chosen. You can even add food coloring at this stage if you want to make the candle colorful.

2. While the whole mixture is waiting at room temperature, you should fix the wick in the container to which you will transfer the wax. The wick should be in the center of the candle holder. Some suppositories are self-adhesive. However, if the wick you bought is not sticky, to fix it:  You can apply some raw material of wax to the base of the wick and stick it to the middle of the bowl.

3. After fixing the wax wick in the bowl, you can slowly pour the mixture you have prepared. However, while doing this, you must hold the candle wick in the middle, firmly. While transferring the mixture, it is necessary to adjust the part of the candle wick that will remain outside. You can wrap the remaining part of the wick on a rod or squeeze it between two rods.
